The LPT establish a player point program to help non-profit organizations in Louisiana promote their Texas hold-em poker tournaments fundraisers.

Want to win a seat at a WSOP Circuit Event?

It’s FREE; all you need to do is start playing at any LPT sponsored tournaments.

How does it work?

You can start building up points by playing at any LPT sponsored event.  As you play you earn points based on how well you do. At the end of the year the top 8 point leaders will play a final tournament to determine who will be the Louisiana Poker Tour champion.

How does the final tournament work?

The top 8 players with the most points at the end of the year will play in a final tournament. Players starting chips will be based on the number of points they earned during the year x 2

Example: 5000 LPT points, 5000 x 2 = 10,000 starting chips.

How do I register?

Before each tournament, you will fill out a registration form at the door. The form must be completely filled out. If you play, you are automatically registered.

What can I win?

The winner of the final tournament will win an entry into a 300 buy-in WSOP circuit event. The winner will also receive a hotel night, dinner for two and the title of Louisiana Poker Tour Champion.

Official Rules

Must be 21 to play.

Proper ID required

LPT reserves the right to change, modify or cancel prizes or contest without notice.

Winner will receive an entry into a WSOP Circuit event not to exceed $500 buy-in. Event will be determined at a later date.

A Player may only receive entry points at the  tournament they physically play in. A Player must play at least one hand to receive entry points.

Players must have a valid email address.

Each participant authorizes the LPT to unconditional use of his or her likeness and name and name of hometown for purposes of advertising and promotion without compensation, consideration, notice, review, or consent where permitted.
